Digital Object 1543
Description:
Small plate on pedestal. It has a slightly concave rim and a rounded lip. The interior is covered in white slip and there is red slip on the exterior, except on the pedestal. The lip is decorated with alternating bands of color following the skin pattern of a coral snake. The decoration on the back is organized into painted panels with “yc” spirals that have claws on the inner ends.
