Description:
T2-I16. Adult male, between 18 and 20 years old. The age was estimated based on the relationship between occlusal wear and age, and the non-eruption of the upper third molar.
Their build was not very robust, with a linea aspera on the femurs that was not very marked. Despite the poor state of conservation, the maximum length of the right tibia (32 cm) could be taken to estimate the size, which revealed a height of 156.43 ± 2.31. The total height of the skeleton gave very similar values, 155 cm (Head - feet).
The poor state of conservation of the remains did not allow the presence of any bone pathology or alteration to be observed.
He was lying in a prone position with the face pointing to the right. The body was not fully extended as it curved to the right at the hip. In addition, it was tilted to the right with the entire right side on a higher excavation plane, perhaps in an attempt to accommodate the pit's boundary. The upper limbs were arranged extended and parallel to the body. The position of the hands is unknown due to their poor preservation. The legs were stretched and the feet were resting on the dorsal surface.
The poor state of preservation of the body only allowed for clear observation of the type of connection of the different joints of the lower limbs. Both knees and ankles were observed to have a strict connection, which allows inference of decomposition in densely packed space. The knees and ankles were also observed to be in contact, indicating that they were possibly tied.
This individual was deposited directly at the NE boundary of the pit, with the head facing SE. On it rested the right arm and legs of individual I5, as well as the feet of individual I4. The feet were between those of the individual I1 and I11.
