Description:
UE306. Impression of wooden brace used to reinforce the eastern end of the NE wall of the lower part of pit UE277, in tomb T7, occurred after the detachment of UE329. To the S of imprint UE304. It is the southernmost of the set of three imprints corresponding to the same number of wooden props by means of which the eastern end of the aforementioned wall was braced, which had been left in an unstable condition after the UE329 detachment. It has a vertical orientation and rectangular shape, is parallel to UE302 and UE304, and was probably generated by a plank or stake. The described imprint has retained a height of around 0.90 m, has a maximum depth of 0.08 m, and has a width of between 0.12 and 0.16 m. It is separated from the adjacent imprint by a distance of between 0.20 and 0.22 m. With respect to the transverse axis of the tomb, it traces a path inclined towards the outside of the tomb in an upward direction, which seems to demonstrate that the wooden plank or stake to which this negative corresponds was placed in an oblique position, like a brace, to counteract the movements of the detached section of the wall and thus prevent its collapse. Filled by UE307.
