Digital Object 1083
Description:
Pendant that represents a rodent eating.
Conservation treatment:

The object appeared generally stable although the surface had sediment strongly adhered to it from its excavation. The sediment was removed with the help of cotton attached to wooden skewers which was lightly impregnated with demineralised water. During this process fragile areas were indentified. These were consolidated with a weak (6%) solution of Paraloid B72 in acetone. Once the object was consolidated, the sedimentary material was removed. For the consolidated areas, medical syringes were used with the aforementioned B-72 solution. The B-72 solution was partially removed to reduce the glossy appearance of the object. Conserved by: Illeana Olmos March, 2015.
