Description :   A human figure in an attitude of offering, carrying an infant in their arms, with a monkey perched on their shoulders clinging to their head. Carved from a sperm whale´s tooth. The human figures are naked with no sex markings; the hands, feet, and ears of the adult are covered with thin sheets of hammered gold. The animal figure lacks the two rear extremities, although it is possible to detect their starting point; the preserved extremities—the upper part of the head, the tail, and the eyes—are covered with gold. Conte style.

Description :   Figure carved in sperm whale tooth in the shape of a feline with crocodile features and parts of its body covered with embossed gold sheets. Conte style. The animal´s body is adapted to the shape of the tooth in which it is carved so that both limbs, ending in five-finger claws, close slightly forward. The head is large, with a not very prominent snout, and short, wide ears with rounded margins. The nose is wide and flattened. The eyes are big and round.
