Description :   UE002. Deposit of ash-colored earth, composed of argillaceous and sandy materials, with particles of charcoal and ash, and some roots. Charcoal samples were taken but were not very reliable due to the fact that burnt root remains were present at the same level. A large number of pebbles of various sizes, as well as some ceramic fragments and stone artifacts, were found.

Description :   UE088. Deposit of materials and bones in primary position, located at a depth of 2.80 m in the NE, NW and SW walls of the pit. The matrix is brown clay with reddish tones and some fine sands. The unit rests on a step carved into the geological substrate. It is U-shaped and has more or less pronounced dips along its perimeter. The portion of the unit that rests on the NW-NE wall is the one that has a greater dip, between 45º- 70º of inclination. Description :   EU125 (called in 2013, EU166 unit). Primary human bone deposit located at a depth of 3.48 metres. It is a multiple burial. The bodies were placed with their feet towards the SW. This unit was cut to the NE by tomb T1. Only the leg bones of two skeletons are preserved. At his feet, 15 cm SW, a skull was located. Description :   EU106. Deposit of three rectangular-shaped osaments (I11, I12 and I13), oriented NW-SE, located at a depth of 3.60 (upper level) - 3.93 m (lower level) in the middle tank of the pit. It rests on it on an intermediate step. The bodies were placed in extended ventral decubitus with the heads facing SE. Description :   UE134. Deposit of bones and bone structures (multiple burial), located at the lower level of the grave of tomb T2. Its morphology is square, delimited by the remains of a battery of posts. The matrix that surrounds it is a deposit of fairly organic dark grey earth, documented by the entire plant at the bottom of the grave. It has a medium-fine granulometry, with clays and limes. In certain areas accumulations of sand and small gravel appear. The compaction is medium. It is a two-headed male figure; he is nude and standing up holding a ceremonial shell trumpet with both hands. Conte Style. Description :   Cast gold figurative pendant. It represents a hybrid being between bird and reptile. This icon it was very widely spread by the International Style in the Isthmus-Colombian area. It belongs to tomb T3, not excavated, and was found along with a breastplate, two small bracelets and a small group of gold beads.

Description :   Diagrams of tombs T1, T2, T4, T5, T6, T7 and T8 of El Caño Area 1. The archaeological team of the Archaeological Project El Caño has been working there since 2008. This is an area reserved as a burial place for people of high status. The tombs contain simultaneous multiple burials and offering episodes. One hundred and forty meters west there is a second area reserved for low status people.

Description :   EU099. Deposit of disarticulated human bones, mostly long bones, located inside the tomb pit T1 at a depth of 4.02 m - 4.10 m. The matrix is clayey, brown with reddish tones and medium grain. The bones are scattered. The deposit has a longitudinal tendency. The length of its E-W axis is 1.8 m and that of its N-S axis is 1 m. We believe it is a liminal (human) offering, placed inside the tomb some time after burial.

Description :   EU131. Circular ceramic deposit occupying an area of approximately 2 m2, located above the collapse of the lid of the funerary chamber in the lower vessel of the grave of tomb T2. It is made up of jugs, plates and a group of effigy vessels. The vessels are fractured, but keep their original geometry. Description :   EU096. Deposit located inside the grave of tomb T1 at a depth of 3.77 m (upper level) and 3.50 m (lower level). It is made up of a group of vessels, three of them zoomorphic, small plates, bowls and pots, all of them fragmented, although keeping their original geometry. It has a small dip S-N. The pots are seated on a ceniciento area. Between this deposit and the burial a block of sediments is interposed. It is a liminal offering placed inside the tomb a while, after the burial.
