Description:
A human figure in an attitude of offering, carrying an infant in their arms, with a monkey perched on their shoulders clinging to their head. Carved from a sperm whale´s tooth. The human figures are naked with no sex markings; the hands, feet, and ears of the adult are covered with thin sheets of hammered gold. The animal figure lacks the two rear extremities, although it is possible to detect their starting point; the preserved extremities—the upper part of the head, the tail, and the eyes—are covered with gold. Conte style.
